Iceland
Why Iceland ? Iceland is one of the most magical and enchanting countries I have ever visited. It was the result of an unexpected encounter that gave me the opportunity to realize a long desired dream. The universal experience of its rugged landscapes, volcanoes, ice, geysers, waterfalls, left me in awe of the power of nature. The impressions I have captured on this trip resulted in the display of my first photography exhibition. Visitors feedback “Water, land, sky, life. Spouting water, tumultuous water, powerful, icy, frozen. Oh clouds, what strange purpose is yours? What a strange fate. All this here, captured in the space of the moment. Everything is pure. Nothing is artificial, even when a mirror effect gives the feeling of a look. Everything is profound, like the wild vastness of an uncompromising, harsh nature, of an austere and altering beauty. Here photography becomes a moment of eternity. “
Urban
I have discovered “Urban” photography in New York City. My favorite city that never sleeps! When I travel there, I barely sleep because of the jetlag, so I wander through the city with my faithful travel companion. “New York remains the epicenter of new beginnings. It is a factory of beginnings where one has easy enthusiasm!” Alexandre Jardin
Nature
Nature has always been an essential part of my life; it offers grace and wonder as well as the ability to find strength and courage in oneself. It is always there, generous and available to discover. “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.” Marcel Proust
Reflection
Reflections are everywhere around us; on odd and unexpected objects, but especially on water, the source of all life... The reflection of light on water "mirror effect" fascinates me. It gives me the impression that there is something much greater than what we see. “By becoming a mirror of the ever-changing sky, water bodies imply freedom. There is nothing more ephemeral than these reflections”. Erik Orsenna
Statue
During my travels, I love to capture sculptures/statues because they are the most beautiful and most telling representation of a cultural heritage. "Sculpture's like photography. It's just a way of trying to see, trying to interpret the world." By David Bailey
Sunset
I love sunsets! The awesome beauty of the setting sun is symbolic of the beauty and mystery of life itself. For a short time it becomes a magnificent firework of colors. “Rosy-fingered dawn”. Homère
Snapshots
Captured in-between, spontaneous moments. Sometimes with my smartphone and mostly shared on social media. I always have my smartphone with me and enjoy shooting the odd, weird, and unexpected. Sometimes those snapshots are showcased in a photomontage. « A good snapshot stops a moment from running away ». Audora Welty
